Silkies Records

Silkies Records is an independent record label based in the Portland area. I, Ken Erickson, am starting this label to give exposure to music that I feel deserves to be herd. The debut release of this new born label is "HeadShots for the UnDead", Matt Braman's first label sponsored effort. This album represents a business partnership as well as a creative venture. I am also the owner of a project studio, and I am always looking for musicians who want to record. And Matt Braman is a singer/songwrighter who has spent the better part of 10 year composing a catalog of songs that are all his own. High school class mates who lost touch, but working on this project together forged a production team. The result was a full length album that is a rich, layered, and a conceptual triumph. With mastering done by freelance engineer and recording instructor Warren Ross the album reached its full potential. The release is set for October '06.
