About me: I am a 'NewFolk' Singer/Songwriter and I write my own material with my guitar. I've been working professionally in this capacity in venues across the world ranging from Australia to the Uk, India, Japan, Europe and the USA, and have also worked with some top names in the industry as a backing vocalist, which has taken me all over the world and allowed me to sing on some pretty amazing stages in some pretty amazing parts of the world. The experience for which I will always be eternally grateful. I see songwriting and performace as a Lifelong, Creative pursuit and I enjoy a life thru the eyes of one who wishes to share life's sentiments with the world. I am originally from Brisbane, Qld, Australia. But, I've been living and workin in Bristol UK, for the past 6 1/2 years; playing and recording with various Bristolian musician friends during that time and developing my sound, which is an ongoing process and, by choice, a lifelong study.These days I mostly write and produce all my own material. My songs have an acoustic, folky style with a rhythmic flow. I like to write considered, conscious lyrics that share common human threads and states of mind. I prefer performing live than in the studio because there's more interaction with the audience and more possibility for human relationships to form in a more honest and organic way.I like to record my material in the rawest, most honest way I can, no artificial additives, or preservatives, just 100% Pure organic music from my heart to yours.These 5 songs are a 'sample' of my style. Some were produced on a friends home studio equipment, with other musicians to make a bigger sound, and some were done by me, on my sofa with a mini disk recorder and a condenser mic. Anyway, this is me, my voice and my thoughts, stripped back of fancy fx and adornments, warts and all, here for your discernmet. Judge me as you will. Most of my songs are about universal human themes of love, lost love and basic indecision, whilst many have political overtones and environmental musings. "Overall, a positve, human songstress who wants to usher in the 'New Protest Era'".
