About Me

I'm a published writer or an author if you prefer. (or smartass, that works too)I've had a number of short stories published in the US and UK over the last three years, some in print journals some in ezines. ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------- I have a short story, "Uninvited", in the Fall issue of Mysterical-e (sept 20th, 2007). -- the link can be found on my website. - check the archives section of Mystericale for this story now. Another new short story, "Granddad's scar", is in the October 2007 Issue of Conceit Magazine - you'll find Conceit in my friends list. Bewildering Stories is publishing a short story of mine, called "Tracks" in an upcoming issue - Feb 25th 2008. There is a link on my website. ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------- For anyone wanting to read some of my older short stories: "In my father's eyes" is archived over at Mystericale, check out the march 2005 archives. "One Breath at a time" is archived over at T-zero, Nov 2005 issue. ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------- July 2006 I signed with Triskelion Publishing and a week shy of the release of my thriller/suspense novel, Killerbyte, Triskelion announced bankruptcy. So, now, I start again! An update on the Triskelion fiasco.. Siren Publishing bought all the contracts and released them! Way to go Siren!!! With my rights safely back I am now shopping Killerbyte, again this time I have the added bonus of having the second book in the Ellie Conway series finished too. (Killerbyte and Terrorbyte are to be followed by Gemineyes later this year.) ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------Myspace Graphics

My Interests

Paranormal spooky things, I like dead people, they can be annoying at times but mostly they just seem to hang out.I collect tarot decks, books on all things magical, and text on the paranormal.

You are The High Priestess

Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.

The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluxuation, particularily when it comes to your moods.

I'd like to meet:

I have met some groovy people hanging out here in My Space land. This must be the only place on the net (apart from Backspace) that nice people actually out weigh the freaks. :) I'd like to meet readers, and authors and creative people! If you'd like to know more or have any questions feel free to drop me a line or visit my web site ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------Come join me for Nanowrimo this year, well that was last year now! Not sure if I'll do Nano this year- it's quite exhausting but it was kinda fun, once it was over. :) Otherwisecat

Music:

Bon Jovi,The Mockers, Hello Sailor, Th'dudes, Rolling Stones, Queen, Eric Clapton, Bowie, Aerosmith, Matchbox twenty, Meridian Smith, Alice Cooper, Greenday, Shania Twain, the Who, The Hollies, Dead Stoned Babies, Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Highwaymen, Talking Heads, Graham Parker, Metallica, Eminem, John Lee Hooker, BB King, Elvis...lots of stuff really... I guess I am eclectic when it comes to music. I have George Jones-Corvette song, stuck in my head on a regular basis! A recent project brought with it a need for Gary Moore's "Over the hills and far away." and Plain White T's "Hey there Delilah." Currently I'm back on a Rolling Stones kick, much to the horror of our neighbors. :) There is something fabulous about having the stereo set to stun.. when listening to the Rolling Stones while writing. -- not to mention it drowns out my dreadful singing! Okay that was last year, this year my writing is accompanied by Bon Jovi - most especially the Lost Highway album. I'm guessing I must play it a lot as our two-year-old is now recognizing band members and knows all the songs. lol

Movies:

I like action movies, especially when they're not supposed to be funny... they are usually the funniest. :) Of course old Peter Jackson movies rank highly with me (being a kiwi an' all), if it weren't for him I wouldn't know how to kill a zombie.Sometimes, I like to be scared, but not so much grossed out, psycho thrillers more than blood and guts... I can write gore but I don't like watching it, I think it's an age thing, I grew out of the gore phase. I firmly believe Sean Connery was the best Bond ever. I've even been known to watch the occasional chick flick.. but let's not spread that around.

Television:

NCIS... it's got Mark Harmon in it, need I say more???

Books:

Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, The worst-case survival handbooks, Terrorism Explained by Clive Williams, Ghost Strasse by Simon Burnett, anything by Jeffrey Deaver-his mind is terrifying and he's a really lovely man!...The Rain series by Barry Eisler. Situation Sabotage by Graeme Johns (You'll never eat packet biscuits again!)I grew up reading boys stories because they were more exciting than girls stories. I loved reading war comics (Battle and Commando), and Ian Fleming's James Bond novels. Willard Price was my one of my favorite authors as a kid, I adored Hal and Roger Hunt and their many adventures. I loved when my brother got new books!!!
