NO!! Don't give him anything sharp!!!

About Me

39 years old, gay white male. Grants adminstrator for a foundation, part-time musician. Generally chatty and friendly, but don't like to talk endlessly about myself (let's face it, it just ain't that interesting!) and have little patience for those who do. After I've had a few drinks, however, I'll assume a glazed, blank expression and you'll be none the wiser...and I'll still try to be nice! Which Blondie Album Best Suits You?
A little bit of this and that. Well-rounded and balanced. You are Blonde and Beyond.

My Interests

Music, music, music and books. Also love swimming. But that's unrelated to the other things.

I'd like to meet:

Progressive people who care about others and know how to have fun! I play in a live band, and I always like to meet other musicians.

Music:

Marianne Faithfull, Burt Bacharach, The Beatles (in aggregate and solo), Carole King, Timi Yuro, Petula Clark, Blondie, The Ramones, New York Dolls, The Handcuffs, The Countdown, P.J. Harvey, The Venom Lords, The Fundamentalists, The Rotten Fruits, Barely Standing, Stewed Tomatoes, Pat Benatar, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Mason Profitt, Sweet, Suzi Quatro, Joan Jett...many more.I'm a drummer/vocalist for The Joans (www.myspace.com/thejoansband)

Movies:

Comedies (esp. old ones.), Biographies, Charles Busch, John Waters, Michael Curtiz, Peter Bogdanovich, film noir. "What's Up Doc?," "A Letter to Three Wives," "The Women," "Mildred Pierce," "The Wrong Box," "Young Frankenstein"

Television:

Classic TV, historical biographies, "The Daily Show," "The Colbert Report," "Marple" (the old ones and the new ones), "The Family Guy." LOVE musical biographies on VH1. If fact, I love anything to do with music, except "American Idol" (sorry, Simon's a horse's ass--he's not raffish, he's not clever, he's not funny--without the accent, he's just Rex Reed).

Books:

Murder mysteries, historical biographies, political analysis (rational and reasonable, please, not bombastic).

Heroes:

Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, Jim Hightower, my grandmother, my mom--anyone who says what needs to be said, and who's devoted their lives to making things better in this dump! If you're a nice and decent person, add yourself to this list...
