February 1976 - SKAFISH gives birth to Punk in Chicago with debut performance and is the first Chicago artist of these genres to play CBGBs in New York, April 1977, at the Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles in February 1978, and before 45, 000 people in London in July 1980 with The Police, XTC, and UB-40 at the first Milton Keynes concert.
The first artist to sign with Miles Copelands legendary I.R.S. Records, Skafish released two albums, was featured in the international live concert film Urgh! A Music War, alongside Devo, Joan Jett, and the Go-Gos. In 1985, Skafish began performing a controversial performance art based solo show through the 1990s, eventually taking a break from performing in late 1994.
He has toured/performed with such artists as: Ramones, Iggy Pop, The Police, XTC, UB-40, Squeeze, Ultravox, The Stranglers, Lemonheads, The Cramps, The Mumps, U-2, New Order, and Scorpions.
1992 saw the independent Chicago are release Best Kept Secrets, and SKAFISH releases his first CD in over 14 years for the 2006 Christmas season, Tidings of Comfort and Joy: A Jazz piano trio Christmas on the La Befana Records label.
