Ilan Bar-Lavi

Hello!!! My name is Ilan Bar-Lavi, in Hebrew it means: A little tree son of a lion, im a 21-year-old guitar player from both Mexico and Israel, now i live and go to school in Boston... i have a band called "Bar-Lavi World Jazz Quintet"... we try to play the most honest music we can, with influences from everywhere we go and everything we experience. im lucky to have my favorite musicians and some of my very best friends on it, Matan, Jeff, Victor and Haggai. The CD is going to be out in September 2008 under the NY record label "Sunnyside". im also in a band called "Secret Architecture" with the amazing drummer and runner Zach Mangan and with the Marvelous Fraser Campbell on tenor sax. I also love making music with Ximena Sarinana, a soulful singer from Mexico,...besides that I spend most of my time playing and chillin with my friends in Boston, Mexico and Israel.
