About Me

Eight Bit Soul is a collaboration between the Melbourne Techno Collective (MTC), Sneakersoul and club Ffour. The monthly Sunday nighter is an exploration of the deeper, minimal, euro shades of techno and house. Stripped back beats drenched in rich textured pads, accosted by eerie blips, blops and glitches is the order of the day. Eight Bit Soul is where the surreal meets the proverbial, the established soars alongside the unexplored, where digital grit meets analog soul. It is where androids dance to tribal drums.

Eight Bit Soul monthly residents are Sam McEwin, Mixwell Smart, Getafix and Stitchenhausen. Every month they are joined by special guests from both the local and global talent pools. Residents and guests alike are given a limitless, unrestricted license to express.
