More Bass is a music and events production collective. Founded in 2005 by DJs PCP and CuZnMatt, together they started bringing the noise to Melbourne's underground. After rocking the foundations of Elizabeth Street at E-55 every month back to back for well over a year they took their eclectic thinking out the bassment of E-55 and into the Acement, at Ace Morning in Brunswick where they teamed up with some more of Melbourne's best.
The next recruit to the More Bass crew was the fantastic Arianwen. An accomplished and respected DJ, she is a party starter and rocker. Her advice, hard work and great performances at key times, has much to do with the success of the More Bass parties. Her grey matter matters. Arianwen is leaving Melbourne for a while pretty soon and will be sadly missed. Stay tuned for details of her return.
Luckily, good timing prevailed and PCP's DJ mentor and star of Punch Buggy Beats, C:1 relocated to Melbourne just in time to put Arianwen's well worn dancing shoes back on and start rocking the fucking fuck. C:1's a veteren DJ and in the last couple of years in conjunction with the unstoppable De La Haye have laid Brisbane bare, supporting pretty much every international underground DJ who's managed to get to the sunshine state for the last couple of years. C:1. Rocks the Fuckin Fuck as any of you who've seen her at the last few parties would know.
Sadly Ace Morning closed earlier this year and More Bass had their biggest party to date. Always, Never Not. One week later Ace came to an explosive end as Arianwen, Cuznmatt PCP and a host of Melbourne's best helped send the place off into the annuls of Melbourne's dance music history. RIP Ace Morning, thanks Andy and everyone who ever went there. More Bass did their last (for now) party in Brunswick just down the road at the Noise Bar the next month before taking a couple of months off to return to the newly refitted Glasshouse in Collingwood to celebrate their first real birthday and find their new home.
