I'd like to meet:

The InternationalWhaling Commission meets in Anchorage this month, and thefate of whales around the world hangs in the balance.
Take Action!
By the time the banon commercial whaling went into effect in 1986, the greatwhales had been hunted to the brink of extinction. Some(but not all) whale populations have now begun torecover.
By abusing a loophole in the whaling ban thatallows killing for “scientific research,” japanslaughters hundreds of whales every year with explodingharpoons, mostly in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary! This year, Japan’s Fisheries Agency plans to startkilling endangered humpback whales, too.
Do Something About It!
With oceanecosystems on the verge of collapse due to industrialoverfishing, pollution, and ocean acidification from CO2pollution, now more than ever is the wrong time for areturn to industrial whaling. But that’s what theJapanese IWC delegation wants. After years of vote-buying, the Japanese government now has a foot in thedoor to legalize commercial whaling.
Please take amoment to click off a letter to principalgovernments involved in the looming whaling debate. Youraction could stop commercial whaling from rearing itsugly head in the 21st century.
Peace!
ERIK
