The Pirates from the desert

About Me

Marooned started in 1995 at the Las Vegas "Age of Chivalry Faire". Founded by faire veteran Bob Brinkman and Keenan Mills, by the second day of performance Marooned had grown to an a capella quartet combining over 75 years of faire experience and a variety of musical styles.
Since that time Marooned has performed at events throughout the country, including the Ojai Pirate Festival, Gen Con, and the John Levique Pirate Days. Of course, the group is always looking for new venues for performance, and has even been approached to work on a film soundtrack. Recently, Marooned has finally released their long-awaited, second CD, Better than Live. In addition, Marooned has given their talents to several charity albums, including "Lafitte’s Return" Volumes 1 & 2, with volume 2 having a previously unreleased track written by Bob Brinkman.Experience is the prime force of any group. Marooned combines 75 years of faire experience with a wide variety of backgrounds represented. Marooned takes Sea Shanties and Irish drinking music and adds a few original numbers to put on a lively and energetic show. From silly, to the bawdy ... and often back again.
Marooned is proud to have won a 2006 "Rennie" as one of the favorite musical groups of 2006 and is even more pleased to have had our new CD, Better Than Live, win a 2007 Renaissance Festival Performer Award for best new CD! . Frankly, it is an honor that enough folks think highly enough of us to have voted us into such august company as the Bedlam Bards & Bounding Main.
For those not aware, the "Rennies" are just one of the projects associated with Marc Gunn and the Renaissance Festival Music Podcast (boy that is a mouthful) which is a great site for all faire folke to hit and listen to.
In addition, for all you pirate music fans out there, there is Bilgemunkey Pirate Radio , which broadcasts every Monday night from 9pm-Midnight EST. Marooned gets a lot of circulation from this show, so give it a listen and support the show that supports us so heavily.
Marooned also plays on Mystic Age Radio and Ren Radio .
Marooned’s self-titled 2003 debut CD is available from CD Baby and Marooned can also be heard on the Hurricane relief CD Circle .
Our debut album is once again in stock at CD Baby and our new CD, Better Than Live can be ordered using the buttons below.
