The new voice of the blues!

About Me

Hey. I am a singer-songwriter born in Raleigh, North Carolina. I was raised on Chopin and Debussy, hillbilly blues and soul. These sounds are in my blood and in my music, and the boogie sneaks in all the time. I’m singing mostly blues these days and just released my new CD, Red Bird Tattoo. You can hear all the songs on my website.SEPT 14, 2007: Great news this week! Just signed contract with Stimulus Films for "The Leaving" (featuring Wanda Vick on fiddle) to be used in "Grilling Bobby Hicks" film and soundtrack CD. You can watch the trailer on my website, as well as impromptu performance by Johnny Neel, who arranged all the songs and played keyboards and harp on Red Bird Tattoo. I’m also excited because a steady stream of music libraries are continuing to request songs including US, Canada, and Australia. Have heard from lots of blues radio stations who want to play new CD, so it’s been a good year. More blues at hattiewilcox.com, plus my instrumentals and more music for licensing. Stop by and say hi when you have time.
