Anti-Masonic Party

"Sacred to the memory of Wm. Morgan, a native of Virginia, a Capt. in the War of 1812, a respectable citizen of Batavia, and a martyr to the freedom of writing, printing and speaking the truth. He was abducted from near this spot in the year 1826, by Freemasons and murdered for revealing the secrets of their order. The court records of Genesee County, and the files of the Batavia Advocate, kept in the Recorders office contain the history of the events that caused the erection of this monument."

The murder of William Morgan by elements of the Free Masons in 1826 was the impetus for the formation in 1828 of an Anti-Masonic Party dedicated to removing all secret socities from government. In this day and age when our president and most of his cabinet are members of a secret society called Skull & Bones and with such shadowy organisations as the Council On Foreign Relations and the Project for a New American Century well and truly integrated into our government it is time to revive this populist party and return power from this powerful elite to the people where it belongs!
