This is a fan site about a great uk band who never got as big as they should have, and should never be forgotten.
Based in London, England the band was formed by vocalist/guitarist Louis Jones and drummer Ed Grimshaw after they left their former band, the Fontaines, based in Bath, Avon. Another former resident of that city, Eat guitarist Paul Nobel, was added to their line-up after they went to London (while in Bath, the trio had also been members of the band TV Eye, whose leader, Paul Kaye, went on to become television personality Dennis Pennis / Mike Strutter). Their name was taken from Brian Eno's 1973 album, Here Come The Warm Jets. The line-up was completed with the addition of ex-Pale Saints guitarist Colleen Browne, Colleen was later replaced by Aki Shibahara. Their manager, Cerne Canning, gave a demo tape to This Way Up Records and their A&R head, Dave Bedford. The quartet's debut EP, Autopia, was released in September 1996, but a six-month gap ensued before the release of a second single while the band searched for a suitable producer. Never Never' became a Jo Whiley single of the week on BBC Radio 1 and helped to give interest in Warm Jets long-playing debut Future Signs. This was produced by former Clash/Rolling Stones producer Glyn Johns. As the band started to make waves the UK media seemed more interested in that singer Louis Jones was the current boyfriend of BBC Radio 1 disc jockey and television presenter Zoe Ball.
