A Wind in the Door

About Me

Well, how exciting is this, writing about myself! /sigh

I live in the desert, love the sky, hate the dust. Santa Fe is up there with some of the most beautiful places, personally speaking.

I work in a Gallery in the back room doing everything from the website to picking up lunch, pretty much anything that does not entail selling art. I really am not into trying to sell someone a piece of art that would go nice with their couch.

On my spare time if the weather is nice… motorcycle riding is my release time.

When not working or riding…. Sadly I spend to much time on the computer. Not all bad, a lot of creating of Websites (still got a lot to learn) Some playing with Photoshop.. Wasting time on message broads ranging from gamer, auto, computer and well that sort.

Lately I have been putting all my extra time into creating web sites. Mainly working with Flash. There is some of my work linked in my site..

Regarding friends requests, don't feel put off if I don't add you just because you request it.. I like to start of by actually talking to someone, so if you want to be my friend for some strange reason, send me a message, say hello, then we can go from there.

Music:

I go through alot of phases with my music tastes.
Looking at my CDs you would think I was a good few different people, LOTS of Electronic from Drum and Bass to Trance and everything in between, not very much into house though, keep the screaming vocals out of my tecno!
I love CocoRosie, Morphine, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Cat Power, belle & sebastian, Cat Stevens... god, I cant list all this stuff! Not sure how others list almost every band they like!
Also got a thing for female singers, Dido, Evanescence, Natalie Merchant, Bjork....
On Some other hour I might be listening to Beasties, Beethoven or Bach.
No Country (other then patsy cline), no Greatful Dead.. got enough on that already from my hippie friends!
Ok, enough of this....

Movies:

The Princess Bride, Dead Alive, Shaun of the Dead, Harold and Maude, The Last Temptation of Christ, Kill Bill, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Anything involving aliens, SiFi.
There are not many movies I miss, a lot I would NEVER actually tell people I watched! (no, not porn your sick bastards!) For going to the theaters I like usually like the SiFi, action packed movies. All others I would rather watch in my own home.
I try to watch most art house films that come out, and of course the occasional sappy movies...

Television:

Ya ya, TV is bad, evil, but I enjoy some of it!
I truly love Six Feet Under, and I try not to miss any of the daily Shows, the only real news out there.
There is more that I watch, or have watched complete runs of, but you won't catch me repeating it here! ha

Books:

Anything by Tom Robins, Strangers in a Strange Land, LotR of course, anything with dragons and such. A Confederacy of Dunces... and so much more.

day 49 - Zacatecas to Marfa.. Insane 12 hours of riding.

Day 49 The goal for today was to reach Jimenez. A few hours from la frontera at Ojinaga and Presidio, it was as far as we could conceive of getting on long, straight, mostly uninspiring roads and wou...

Day 48 - Guanajuato to Zacatecas

Day 48 It's considered rude in restaurants south of the US border to turn tables and, consequently, you won't get the check until you ask for and will never be pressured to get up and leave your tabl...

Day 47 There is always a rooster. It doesn't matter how urban and cosmopolitan your surroundings, there is always a rooster within earshot in Mexico. It just doesn't fail. Not only that, a window hig...

Day 46 Today, I crashed. Not my motorcycle (gotcha), but emotionally. The road away from Pachuca is dismal. Everything that seems like it could promise beauty is choked in thick smog (we are little m...

Day 42 and 43 - Oaxaca - short and sweet
