Influenced by the inner city landscape, this urban contemporary gallery is owned and operated by four Chicagoans representing the southwest and west side of the city. 32nd&urban identifies emerging, mid-career and professional artists working in a variety of mediums who represent work that is innovative, cutting-edge, experimental, exploratory, and multi-dimensional. Finding artists through word of mouth, the Internet, gallery hopping or open portfolio review days. This gallery space is a clash of vintage flair - tin ceilings and tile mosaic floors- and contemporary modern. Approximately, nine-hundred fifty square feet, eleven foot ceilings and ample wall space, gives the artist and curator artistic freedom in solo or collaborative exhibitions.
