Duke Mule - Photography and Electronica - The Revolution shall be Sloganized!! Ever been in the back seat of a bus to Barcelona, wedged between a rabid Jamacian woman and an Iranian opera singer who can only communicate in english via Elvis Presley songs? If you have - you may just get this. When cornered and threatened, Duke Mule would describe himself as "The bastard inbred offspring between Vogue, Pig Farmer Weekly and The Lonely Planet if they got drunk on home made Bulgarian Vodka and had a messy unprotected 3-way in the back of a 1982 Suzuki Mighty Boy". In reality its Duke Mule - Electronica and Photography, beats and pics...after years of strumming latin guitar in hotel lobbies all over the world with faux latin compadre Dr Sanchez, and photographing hotel lobbies all over the world, and waking up in hotel lobbies all over the world, Duke Mule has cast Dr Sanchez, the sombrero and the castanets into the ocean..and taken to hours of sitting in front of a PC in the suburbs of small town NZ, making little bars of color turn into sounds, revelling in the noises and getting excited like Corky at a fireworks display..Making music on a PC is just like making a Sarah Lee cake..layer over layer over layer. Drawing on horrific experiences of working as a session guitarist in a Stockholm eurotechno music factory, and recording tracks for the last 2 Swedish eurovision entries, Duke Mule carves away at his electronica with the ferocity of a pastor at a Scout convention...Always with his head in the beats desperatley avoiding melody mainly through fear..Duke Mule brings a quasi scandanavian house sound to a NZ that just wont get it.."cos it aint Dub, bro". Duke Mule currently splits his time between Stockholm, Sweden and New Zealand working as a professional photographer. Keep an ear on for tracks as they develop, they always are...Leave you with a few words from the man. "Thats right...The Revolution shall be Sloganized!! You will be gently caressed and fondled through a surreal musical world - a life of 5 star hotels, international destinations, random meetings and small mammals, I could play Stairway to Heaven when I was 14, but Jimmy Page was 22 when he wrote it..Think about that then!! hah... and kids please remember "Even God hates Christian Rock".... Duke Mule.
