About Me

Welcome to the page that explores all things Amanda Ratcliffe. Miss Ratcliffe if you will. Not really Miss NZ – I just cleverly named myself that to lure you all in to my world of photographic treats. And it worked. I win! That’s what I do...do.The one thing I do slightly better is take photos. Of your band. That band. Your new favourite band. At gigs mostly. But more recently I’ve been making delightful musicians pose for me. Fully clothed. Not nude. Sadly. Heh.So now you know I go to shows wearing my camera as a necklace. But did you also know how I like to write reviews? Oh yes, it may come as a surprise, but sometimes it happens. They get posted. In my blogs. On here. And occasionally they grace NZ Musician and Amplifier’s pages. For you. To read. If you want. Now, my mum always told me to treat people the way I want to be treated, so don’t be scared to request me. Add me. Talk to me. One of my favourite lines snatched from a Beastie Boys song is ‘too sweet to be sour, too nice to be mean’. That’s me. I think. Unless you turn out to be a dick – then I may change my tune.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Your band. That band. Your new favourite band. A rubber band?Musicians who think they look pretty and want me to prove it to the world by shooting the living daylights out of them in a photographic kind of way.The kid who likes to get amongst it and support the local talent. We could even play together. If you wanna’.You. If you want a review. Of a gig. Or a CD. For a magazine. Or a website. Don't be shy.
