About Me

CECI EST UN MYSPACE HISTORIQUE SUR ANGE. POUR CONTACTER ANGE, VOYEZ LEUR MYSPACE OFFICIEL http://www.myspace.com/groupeange.ANGE was created in 1969 in Belfort and imposed itself as the greatest French progressive rock act ever. The main figure was singer and composer Christian Décamps, backed by his younger brother Francis (organs & compositions). Their first album, "Caricatures" (1972) was an impressing debut. Their second album, "Le cimetière des Arlequins", was sold at over 600'00 copies over the years. On August 26 1973, ANGE played before 30'000 at the Reading Festival with Genesis. During the peak of their popularity in 1973 - 1977, ANGE played more than 100 concerts in Great Britain...Christian Décamps in 1978...In 1977, due to internal tensions that led to the dismiss of the bassist Daniel Haas and the lead-guitar Jean-Michel Brézovar, ANGE had to concede their position of French top rock band to the new parisian rock and roll quartet Telephone. But ANGE, under the banner of Christian Décamps, never ceased to exist and released about 25 albums until today.
