Havin' a good time!

About Me

"Every now and again you get something special and we have it here and now in the form of "The Dooberies"... This is the best band I’ve seen around here for a very, very long time ..." - Jib Johnson (Licensee - The Fishpond, Matlock Bath: after the storming Friday the 13th October gig )

The Dooberies first came into being when an alternative folk trio (all Sabbath fans) were given a gig in a rock venue. Deciding that the addition of drums and bass might be wise for this one, they were very inspired by the results! Combining a variety of styles produced an intoxicating compromise…

After settling on a kick-ass rock/blues/jazz drummer and with a lead guitarist on bass, they proceeded to re-work their original material whilst establishing a name for themselves as a quality live act, with a series of high-voltage gigs that got whole audiences on their feet.

Following the successful release of their first album “Omens”, the line-up was amicably shuffled to allow true passions to be fulfilled and create a committed hardcore that would take The Dooberies to another level. The current quintet have been pushing their musical boundaries further and experimenting in new directions with delightful consequences!
