McCallen (http://myspace.com/jdmccallen), Dennis Delorme and various other n'er do wells. Founded in 2003 after Clayton and J.D. kept meeting and picking drunk at festivals, the Otonabee river boys do what they do out of love for bluegrass music and each others company. This band is a side project for all three of the founding members-Clayton and Dennis are both sidemen to eccentric Canadian icon, Washboared Hank, J.D. is a singer-songwriter, and Dennis also plays pedal steel for seminal Canadian country band Prairie Oyster. The boys place an emphasis on their three part harmonies and feel that the song is more important than any one part. Clayton plays mandolin, J.D. plays guitar and Dennis plays Banjo and Dobro. Usually on bass is Diamond Dave Russell, but they've been known to use Mark Terry or Martin Chapman as well. The first recording project is planned for November, 2006.
