Born, March, at St. Joseph Hospital, Toronto, Cananda to loving parents, and four older siblings. At age ten, he began religiously studying G'tar/Songwriting under the musical direction of his eldest Hippy, record collecting/singer-harp playing brother, James “The Animalâ€. With a massive record collection of Vintage Blues/Rock’n roll/ R&B/Funk/Regge/Jazz/Country and Rockabilly, "The Animal†helped formulate the musical mindset of The Handsome Liar!!!!!
...From basements, livingrooms and Churches, to chicken wired HonkyTonks, softseater Theaters and a erray of recording sessions in various studios, cross country tours of indoor/outdoor festivals, dues got paid. Many "Great and Magical Moments" were shared with a wonderful array of talented musicians that inspired audiences large, and small to Dance...Dance...and keep on Dancing!!! ... often into the wee, weeee hours!!

Hovercraft, John Crown, Rob Philips, Richard Simpkin, The Spades, Jude Waldman, Kevin Carley and The Handsome Liars(won guitarist of the year and The Handsome Liars, band of the year. The Wire magazine/2003), The Paul James Band, Beau Dixon, Fat Head, Rita Charrelli, Paul Reddick, Gerome Godboo, The Webber Brothers, Wylie Harold, Jerrico’s Wall, Kim Doolittle, Brent Bailey, Southside Steve Mariner, Sab Saberini, Jimmy Bowskill, Fred Eaglesmith’s Flying Squirels, Willie P.Bennett, Washboard Hank along with Hank’s GraveStone Lickers, amongst many others.
At age thirteen, Handsome built the first guitar, fell in love with art, interesting beautiful Woman, sports and building/modifying Big Block Chevy drivetrains. The lifelong artist began studying Cabinet Making/furniture design in his mid twenties, studied Technical Engineering-Computer Design, then began building rigid framed Harleys at thirty! Re-discovered Luthiery and spent a good number of years making sawdust at The Guitar Clinic("F" Bass) in Hamilton, Ontario. Can. Designed and built high end Guitars/ Basses along side Master builders George Furlinetto, Dave Fox and Mike Spicer, for artists such as Alain Caron, Will Lee, Marcus Miller, Pino Palladino, Willie Weeks, Colin Cripps, Garnet Rogers, Tom Wilson and many others!! Learned A.S.L. Sign Language while working at a sheltered worksop for the handicapped, then fell in Love and married a deaf Vietnamese Beauty!!! Addicted to modding the odd low/medium wattage Amplifier for his musical friends!! Celebrating each day since! Still designing/building/ gigging and Loving each moment!!! ...Living.... Pure Heaven!!
