Fatherhood, Music, Life My son's awesome and I spend a lot of my free time with him. He's my main interest. I love state parks for the days! Nights, when I don't have my son, I love good movies. I love a good lounge atmosphere. I do still occasionally make it out to a club, if I know there'll be good music. I'd love to find some good people who just like going to random places and just allowing things to happen, but not looking for any drinking buddies. I'm working on just letting that part of my life go. I'm trying to focus more on my "spiritual life" and get my life where it needs to be. I know God's waiting on me and He's never seemed to interested in the idea of letting me be, so…
Too many to list. Living or dead? Famous or just everyday people? I'm just thankful for those whose paths have crossed my own and look forward to the many more whose lives will be interlaced with my own.
My musical tastes vary and to list the artists and producers I love would take far too much time and space. Browse through my "friends list" and you're bound to find some good music, regardless of your tastes. Breaks, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Electro, True R&B, Blues, House, Jazz, Some Rock, Some Classical, Latin, alright fine, Country, Odd stuff that noones's ever heard of, Instrumental, oh ya, and did I mention Jazz. Labels - Old Columbia and Atlantic releases, Sunswept, Ai records, Verve (Old & Remix Projects), Blue Note, In-Flight Entertainment, A&M, Finger Lickin' & Chicken Lips, Guidance, Distinct'ive, Fuel, G-Stone, Om (and thier sub-labels), Elektrolux, Against the Grain, Supercharged, K7, Water Music, Zen/Ninjatunes, Compost, and so on and so on... Here's one for ya. "The difference between 'rap' and 'hip-hop' is like the difference between saying you love someone and really 'being in love' with someone." Music transcends language, love, laughter, misery, anger, hatred, age, up-bringing, class, politics, color, creed, religion, & even mental/physical capacity. Think about it, a man who is recognized as one of the greatest composers in history WAS DEAF! Tell me that music doesn't carry with it incredible power. Fanny Crosby was blind, yet after memorizing the Bible wrote over 9000 hymns, many of which are considered some of the most loved of all time. Check out how cool this is. My son who's now 4, will tell me if he wants to listen to House or Jazz or Breaks or Rock or whatever. I LOVE THAT LITTLE GUY! He's just so cool!! Music has power! If you listen to music about hate, anger, frustration, and misery, your thoughts will be of, guess what! Music can and will lift you up or tear you down. You choose! "I could just listen to this all day long" says my son today while listening to Miles Davis during dinner. He's so awesome!... width="425" height="350" .. . . . .
I just love a good laugh! Animations, Comedies, Suspense/Mysteries I get caught up in Romances more often than I'd like to admit.
Don't really watch much. Most of it is a waste of time. I have my shows, but for the most part don't bother.
Right now, almost through Black by Ted Dekker. Crazy book!!! Lovin' it though. Anxious to get through the series! I really need to take some more time to read though! Get back to my multiple book reading again.
I could give the standard, my Mother, my Step-father, my sister, my Lord Jesus, and so on. All of which are in fact my heroes and I love and respect them. The truth is I believe that if we're open to it, heroes are everywhere, everyday! There are people performing incredible acts of love and bravery all around us if we take a moment to see them. The question is, for you and me, how are we honoring them? Think about it.
