Angelique Munro evolved from Chicago in 1995. Best known as One of Chicago top Female Impersonators, Who's often compared to the Glamour Queen's of Yesteryear.
Angelique has been called "A Goddess".
Angelique most recently was on The Tyra Banks Show in LA As one of Tyra's "Fashion Drag Force " Make-Over team members. Show Title is " Fix it or Flaunt it part II "
Angelique made her radio debut on Windy City Radio WCKG, 105.9 FM.
She appeared on, The Ricki Lake Show; "Surprise, I am a Drag Queen"
She has also been seen on E! Entertainment Televisions; "Wild on the Windy City" during one of her performances at The Mashed Potato Club.
Angelique has entertained through out the Chicagoland area: The Baton, Sidetrack, Mary's Attic, Hydrate, Circuit Night Club, X/O,The Edge, The Kit Kat Club, Temptations, Roscoe's, Spin, The Mashed Potato Club, Nutbush, Hideaway, InnExile, @mosphere, Jackhammer, 115 Bourbon Street, and Charlie's.
And outside of Chicago, including: LA, New York, Cedar Rapids Iowa, Mich. City In., East St. Louis, and Las Vegas.
In addition to being a stage performer, Angelique.. has been an active leader in her fund-raising efforts for HIV/AIDS and Awareness.
Angelique has been the Promotional Spokesperson for Alize, Absolut, Vox, Bacardi, Pucker, Bud Light, Southern Comfort and Representative Model for Perrier Jouet Champagne.

I was born an only child on May 27, 1970 in Chicago, IL.
Oh I think I always knew as a child that I was meant to be a girl. I've always felt a hole of emptiness inside me because I was born with male parts and not female.
As young as I can remember, I dressed up in private in my bedroom using bed sheets as dresses and a T-shirt or a towel as hair. When I would visit my Aunts house I would put on her high heels and clothing and played with Barbie dolls with my cousin Tina. I didn't think it was wrong, all I knew it made me feel glamorous, and it was an escape from reality. I truly believe I was a girl. This was very difficult on my Mother. Out of respect I never did pursue living my life as a Woman until after her death 1-13-06. Mom lost her battle to Lung/Brain Cancer. I loved my Mother and I miss her so much, she was my World.
For years I've been battling major depression. I had no clue as a child that I was born Trans Gender, all I knew was I just wanted to be loved and accepted for who I am. As early as I can remember, my life has been a struggle; I've survived emotional, sexual, mental and physical abuse. I have battled my demons with thoughts of suicide. It's been a long and rough hard road and now all that's behind me and I am finally in control of my life and I will not allow anyone to harm me in any way ever again.
I would hope people could appreciate and love and respect one another more for whom we were born to me and not for whom they want us to be.
As I go forward with my new life, I am so amazed by the support I have received by my co-workers in my department. I've worked in accounting since 1997. Thank you for being there for me day after day.
And the overwhelming support from my friends / fans, thank you. I've been known and respected as "One of Chicago's top Female Impersonators since 1995". Which now I've been given and carry proudly the title " One of the Worlds most beautiful Trans Sexuals".
I have done my share of soul searching, dreaming and now it is time I embrace the true me and stop fighting it. All I know is how I feel. I will tell you for the first ever in my life that I can honestly say I love myself. I know I am doing the right thing for me listening to my heart and soul to be happy to be the Woman I was meant to be!
