When people ask me to compare the 20th century to older civilizations, I always say the same thing:

Within four years the population of the greater Middle East will be nearly 800 million. 75% of them will be under the age of 35. Some consider this "youth bulge" a looming threat—recruits for fundamentalism, terrorism, insurgency, and migration; others refer to them as the region's greatest asset. However, everyone agrees that their sheer number will give them more social and cultural influence over the course of their nations than any generation before them. Despite this, coverage of the region continues to focus largely on the older generation's viewpoints.

BoomGen: Rise of a New Middle East is a long-form documentary about the next generation of the Middle East—the leaders of tomorrow. Our story unravels through a multitude of layers, including observational documentary and animation, examining what it means to be a part of this influential boom generation, while evoking the historical factors that have shaped Islam and today’s Middle East. Through six distinct characters’ struggle to realize their dreams, we meet many who defy the negative stereotypes that permeate western perceptions and observe the factors that lead some towards the slippery slope called radicalism. Our documentary is a fast-paced journey through time and space—spanning from sixth-century Arabia to contemporary Middle America and the bustling streets of Tehran, Cairo, and London, geared to both Muslim and non-Muslim youth audiences in the west. Our goal: To increase awareness while providing a platform for the inevitable social and cultural revolution through an aggressive multi-faceted, multimedia outreach strategy.

The documentary is being produced by Tousi Productions.

As far as I am concerned it's on par with sour milk. Get me a TV channel with no advertisements what-so-ever and you may have removed the sour from the milk. Otherwise, you can keep the shows that are "exceptions". I have got my own cow to milk.
Credits Much respect to all who are fighting in the streets of the Middle East with their ART and soul. To all the young musicians, painters, filmmakers, photographers, writers, and thinkers working outside the box. You are my heroes. You will lead us all to peace.

Arundhati Roy:
"To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget."
