About Me

Lost Angeles Films was established in 2006 to develop and produce contemporary horror film projects utilizing today’s up-and-coming directors, writers, and talent. Melissa Bacelar, whose credits include: “Strange Things Happen At Sundown;” “Toxic Avenger 4: Citizen Toxie;” “Dawn of the Locusts” and a recurring role on ABC’s “One Life to Live”, partnered with Jeff Spinner to create the L.A.-based production house."I got my start in horror films and the experiences I've had working on them have been invaluable," said Melissa Bacelar, President/CEO, Lost Angeles Films. "I want to help bring some credibility and excitement back to the horror genre and I look forward to creating films that true horror fans can recognize and appreciate."The duo hopes to help revive the horror film genre by developing projects with character-driven plots and socially provocative themes, as well as creating powerful roles for women in horror, breaking victim stereotypes.Lost Angeles Films is in post-production with “Eat Your Heart Out: A Zombie Love Story, a zombie romance set in New York starring Melissa Bacelar. The company is also in development on more projects with one set to begin filming in February. Bacelar recently created a web-based, animal rights-themed comic heroine named Canina (ismelltrouble.com) that launched at Comic Con this year and is in talks about a print and film version. Lost Angeles Films plans to expand their project base and become one of the major producers of the horror film genre.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
