I spend a great deal of time meditating on the natural energies of the human body and the methods by which they can be aroused and utilized including, but not limited to, Chi Kung, Nei Kung, Kundalini Yoga, Tantra, Zen Buddhism, Ayurveda, the Illuminates of Thanateros and others. I am fascinated with the Japanese Ninja and play with Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, primarily as a hobby. Ancient mythology that everyone else in the world has forgotten about obsesses me, particularly Sumerian, Ugaritic and Babylonian. I have an extensive library on Angelic lore and love reading about fallen angels. I have no religious affiliations per se, but am fascinated by the Gnostics.
Music should be moving and evocative, carnal and emotional. I love the raw, physical power of hard rock and heavy metal, but I’m also drawn to the slow, dark, luxurious strains of baroque classical. I have a bad habit of getting into bands about five to ten years after everyone else.KISS, Queensryche, Ozzy, Crimson Glory, Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson (as a solo artist), WASP, Yngwie Malmsteen, Dokken, Accept, AFI Underground, Marilyn Manson, Switchblade Symphony, old Metallica (pre Black album), Anthrax, Deadsy, Judas Priest, Lush, Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, Motley Crue, The Cure, Peter Murphy, NIN, Warlock and pretty much anything else with guitars and drums in it.
My favorite album of all time is the soundtrack for Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back although the Revenge of the Sith soundtrack is a close second.
Anything that stirs my imagination, inspires me to look beyond the ordinary or shocks my occasionally prudish sensibilities. Works of fantasy, science fiction and horror will capture my attention most often, but I occasionally work in a vulgar comedy.
The Star Wars Saga, the X-Men films, the Matrix trilogy (yes, all three films), Lord of the Rings, Clerks I and II, Dogma, Mallrats, Spiderman I,II and III, the Pirates of the Caribbean films; pretty much anything where the characters are wearing capes, tights or leather.
I don’t have time for TV’s seductions, but I will catch things when they are released on DVD. I like animation and the occasional mystery, but usually I gorge on sci-fi.
I'll read most anything horror, sci-fi or mystery that crosses my path. I'm a huge Stephen King fan, but my all-time favorite writer is Clive Barker. I used to be a fan of Anne Rice before the Jesus man stole her brain. My copy of Path Notes of an American Ninja Master by Glenn Morris has been read to tatters. Lately I've been getting into books on strategy; Robert Greene's 48 Laws of Power is excellent.
I just finished Joe Hill's debut, Heart-Shaped Box, and was very impressed. Mr. Hill has inherited all of his father's talent and uses it to deliver a tight, fresh take on the traditional ghost story.
The late Dr. Glenn Morris, Paul Stanley, Darth Vader, Masaaki Hatsumi, Stephen King, George Lynch, Randy Rhoads, Jareth The Goblin King...
