Amputee Organization of America

About Me

Greetings! We are looking for new members to join our non-profit organization (AOA) Amputee Organization of America. Membership is free, and all we ask of you is to please take the time to participate in our forum so others may benefit from our collective experiences.Your free membership will give you access to over 30,000+ directory listings for all things amputee related! Including: articles, publications, photos, support groups, O&P facilities, physical therapists, organizations, community events, social services, etc.We have almost 2000+ members currently, and growing! Due to our organization being supported out of our own pockets and in our spare time, we have not been able to afford a paid research team and office staff. Once our pending grant applications have been approved, we will receive enough funding to begin our projected programs. Until then, our website has not been updated with our new database and content mentioned above.Currently, we have a new web tech who is working hard to implement our new website updates. Thanks for your patience, and we hope you will find our cause worthy of your membership, and your assistance in building our site content to be a comprehensive resource for other amputees like us!Sincerely, Derek McDonald Amputee Organization of AmericaIf you would like to read our mission statement, I have included the URL below, just copy and paste it into your browser since this does not support html coding for links.http://www.amputeeorganizationofamerica.com
