Alcohooliganska Records

Alcohooliganska Records is a bulgarian independent ska/rocksteady label, established in the summer of 2006 with one main purpose – to spread this beautiful Jamaican music as much as it..s possible. It is difficunt assignment, especially in our country Bulgaria, where the MTV-music type rulez among the young generation. The label has worked with a good known names at the European ska-scene, and still working with them (Dr. Woggle and The Radio, Stiff Breeze, Babylove and The Van Dangos, USCB Allstars, The Upsessions, Yellow Cap and many more). In fact ska-label is running by a single person – it..s me, Stefan, I..m at 25 yo employed in the hardware sphere, and like almost 90 percent of the young people of Bulgarian population, not so satisfied from myself and my primary job. Despite that, I..m trying to be as deep as I can in this stuff and if I have chance could support some Bulgarian ska/rocksteady act (unfortunately I haven..t see “my band” yet) I will help them. This is the second priority of this label – supporting young ska-bands. Until now this searching for bands is totally unsuccessfully, but I won..t give up!!! Label also have two releases in form of Various Artists ska-compilations – “Skankin Europe” (2007) and “Lovesteady” (2008). Both successfully released and selling in whole Europe via almost every ska-band appeared in this releases. In the near future, label will consolidate I hope, and will release better and better stuff to make ska-fans more and more thankful that Alcohooliganska exist. With the influences from Prince Buster, Alton Ellis and Laurel Aitken to newborn bands such as The Upsessions, The Pepper Pots, Eskalator and many other, label will never stop the “train to Skaville”. The label is open about new ideas and cooperations with bands, stores, labels, so don..t be shy and give me some advices or tenders.
