The Barely Breaking Even movement began nearly ten years ago when Peter Adarkwah and his partner Ben were discussing music and discovered a shared interest in diverse, eclectic sounds covering all genres - from old scratchy Brazilian grooves, through 70's funk, via jazz fusion, hip - hop and soul to newer garage, disco and techno music.
Sosho welcomes resident DJ Ben Chapman and BBE guests every Thursday night from 7pm till 1am.

One of the original East London DJ collectives, Blowineast, host their weekly basement
parties in the intimate surroundings of the Sosho lounge every Friday night from 8pm. Playing their
distinctively deeper sound, resident DJs Manish, Zaki & Georgia Girl
provide a refreshingly alternative Shoreditch soundtrack. Blowineast at Sosho has seen the release of new energy to Friday night and is becoming the only way to start the weekend.

Weekending has been bringing the leading names in cutting edge house music to Tabernacle Street since we launched our weekly Friday night house party in 2002. Resident Dave Jones (Curious) introduces the key names in the pure, US influenced house scene to East London while Andy Warburton (Cafe Mambo) and Jim Breese (Ku De Tat, Bali) stretch the Sosho sound system with deeper house sounds and the latest floor fillers.

Goodbye is a night of serious party music from two of Ibiza’s most recognised DJs. Jason Bye returns to London for his first UK residency since swapping Home London for Home Sydney over 5 years ago and Pete Gooding, his Cafe Mambo successor, has been the main man on Sunset Strip for 10 years, balancing his time in Ibiza with international residencies for Renaissance and taking Mambo on tour around the world.

Well all that is about to change. Thanks to Good Luck Studio! some of the country's finest producers will have an opportunity to make the switch from mixing desk to mixing decks, air their record boxes, and receive the frenzied adulation of the dancefloor. The brainchild of The Freelance Hellraiser and Freeform Five's Nick DC (themselves no strangers to studio tan), Good Luck Studio! is all about giving studio wizards the chance to play the songs that inspire their work, alongside their newest creations and current favourites

We decided to bring the Electric Record Player over to Sosho for a Saturday night. Swapping lounge electronica for dance floor beats, resident Pete Herbert (Reverso 68/Eskimo Recordings) and his guests play a blend of brand new disco and house.

Kev Beadle's long running Mind Fluid residency returns to Sosho on the last Saturday of every month. Kev's been a stalwart of London's jazz house and club scene since the early 80s. Sharing his DJ roots with the likes of Oakenfold, Trevor Fung and Gilles Peterson, making his way from pirate radio to label compiler, remixer and producer. His djing musical style is always jazzy and soulful incorporating everything from nu-jazz, neo soul, latin, afro, funky, broken beats, hip-hop, house, drum and bass, and jazz, soul and funk from the last 30 years.
