Through a life surrounded by upfront music, a passion for deep, melancholy and organic sounds, Geddes now finds himself at the forefront of London’s underground music scene.Surrounded by a burgeoning scene in West London, Geddes was led into early rave experiences that exposed him to be inspired by notorious DJs such as Derrick Carter, Kerri Chandler, François K, MAW and MURK, who would later shape his recognisably profound sound. Geddes was captivated early on by the electronic sound now paramount in today’s dance scene and while preserving influences the sounds of old he found himself playing a deeper side of house and techno, somewhat ahead of his time.Geddes’ confidence in this sound and desire to inject a freshness to the underground scene inspired him to programme his own parties and his vision became a flourishing reality through the special project that we know as mulletover.mulletover has gained unrivalled success as one of the superior, underground parties at the heart of the London scene in its three years of events. Their philosophy of continuous reinvention led them to invite inspirational, ground-breaking guests including Tobi Neumann and Ivan Smagghe alongside less-known acts such as Daniel Stefanik and Meat, all the while captivating the attention of their ever-growing following, each time in a new location. This led to mulletover and Geddes being invited to collaborate with TDK festival in London for the past three years and host their own arena. The Summer of 2006 also saw them in a new weekly home at the infamous Discoteca room at ‘We Love...’ Space in Ibiza and go on to host some of the most talked about parties on the island including ‘mulletover - party in the hills’.As a DJ, Geddes now holds international prominence with appearances in 2007 at Berlin’s Panorama Bar, D!Club in Lausanne, Frankfurt’s Robert Johnson and the Loft in Barcelona. Past performances have brought him success with large crowds as well as small taking in modest spaces at Watergate in Berlin to the more substantial masses at Sunday Best’s infamous Bestival and Renaissance ‘Wild in The Country’ festival. He has successfully ventured into the world of production under his Rekleiner guise, alongside fellow London producers Anthony Middleton and Luca Saporito. Rekleiner’s intricate productions showcase a love for all things melodic and can be found on labels such as Connaisseur, Maschine, Moodmusic and remixes on Infant and Adultnapper’s new Ransom Note imprint. Commencing with the epic ‘Future Past’, Rekleiner’s projects continued to generate global attention and ‘The State of Things’ licensed to the Connaisseur Grand Cru compilation led them to be invited on the subsequent tour for 2007. Their most recent EP ‘Los Caminos’ pushes their boundaries further delivering truly inspiring music and Geddes’ solo work on Tsuba further delves into melancholic, emotive waters. This year sees Geddes launch a new label project, murmur records, an experience-driven experiment into the future of our musical landscape. The first release is his own Rekleiner production that moves them into a fresh sound and direction. Other releases are scheduled from Reclick & Nick Curly.Geddes has invented a distinctly deep and appealing signature sound. His productions persist in gathering new audiences, continually gaining intensity and individuality and leading us into a bright and exciting new era of electronic music.
