Jumpin’ up passionately into the Boston reggae scene in February of 2005, Roberto Gell and his blasting Roots Reggae band The Midnight Ravers are heading for big things.Formed by band leader Gell,Who rocked audiences all over the country as a member of The Libra Project, The Midnight Ravers are a true revolution in roots-rock reggae.
Gell says “Even though I love hip hop I’ve always wanted to express myself thru roots reggae music.â€A natural born performer, Roberto says “Once I have an audience I light up- it’s funny ‘cause friends that know me offstage think I’m a mellow cat, then they come too see a show and get kinda shocked by how much energy I bring to the stage.â€Roberto loves performing live and can’t wait to tour worldwide with The Midnight Ravers. He has already been blessed to share the stage with stars such as: Mikey Dread, Mr.Liff, Akrobatik, The Black Rebels, DJ Powers of the Cold Krush Brothers, and Zulu Nation.The Midnight Ravers are currently in the studio recording originals and have released a demo for booking purposes.
