Based in County Mayo in the west of Ireland, The Irish Goats were formed summer 2006. Built initially around a five piece the goats could be described as a blend of Celtic folk, rock and just about other style available to play in.
Gerry O'Brien (Goat Vocals) "We are trying to put our own individual stamp on Celtic Rock Music and take it much further forward into the 21st Century."
The guys have performed over the years in various other semi pro bands, both in Ireland & the UK & Continental Europe, but now have joined forces to bring you their take on celtic rock.
Dates are now planned through the rest of the year touring Ireland & a mini tour of the UK taking in venues in & around Manchester.
2007 sees "The Goats" heading further afield on their "Bringing the Irish to You" tour. Interest has already been shown in as far away as Australia.
