Northland

BIOGRAPHY Northland is a Celtic/Folk Death Metal band based Barcelona, Spain. It takes influences from many different metal and non-metal bands to create a unique style of music.
While Northland actually started in 2004, there was a big hiatus due to different members having to attend other personal affairs. Nonetheless, the band is now back to stay and give fans non-stop metallic action.
The actual stage of Northland started in 2007. After the dissolution of the viking metal band where Sergi (lead guitar), Jonathan (keyboards), Cristian (drummer), and Pau (vocals / rhythm guitar) played, they decided to continue their musical project in Northland.
Once the band was finally formed, a need for a more folk-ish sound was evident. That made Guzmán join the band as a violinist. The line-up was completed when Eric joined the band as bass player.
During Summer 2007, Cristian had to leave the band due to personal issues, leaving the drums to Dani, who covered efficiently the task.
After their first show, they re-edited their first demo, “Freezing Sadness”, changing the cover design and making promotional pictures for the release.
In February 2008, Jonatan decides to split paths with Northland in his musical career, and he has to leave the band.
Northland is currently working on new songs for a second demo which will be avaliable in Spring 2008 and also looking for a record label and for live shows.
