About Me

Soloing with my band, AERIAL TRIBE. Ray Calendar plays trumpet solo:Josh Green and I trading licks at an AERIAL TRIBE show:Living, learning, and making the adjustments as I go. I'm a bassist, performing live weekly in Jacksonville Florida, primarily with Aerial Tribe. I enjoy what I do, very much. It has it's ups and downs, but what doesn't? I think the bass and I chose one another early on. We have been through a lot of trials together over the years. At times in the past, I've wanted to give up music and invest my time into other things more social norm or more secure than the music industry, but I know now that I would be neglecting myself and my own destiny, if I didn't give everything I have to music. Aerial Tribe was started to perform original. However, over the years, we have found complacency in the instantly glorifying (and thriving) cover scene of Jacksonville. Lately, Aerial Tribe has made a conscious effort, to re-invent ourselves with our original plan to perform original music. It's been gradual and odd at times, playing originals at bars and lounges where cover are requested by the venue owners and the patrons (that hadn't heard us yet), but also productive... the more we perform OUR music, the more people recognize it. It's all about the consistency, but we are definitely getting more and more recognition as a strong force of original music in the southeast. That, my friend, brings a smile to my face. As you'll see, if you decide to check out the videos on this page, I also perform with a few other great artists.AERIAL TRIBE with Kenny Hamilton soloing on saxophone:More AERIAL TRIBE with Kenny Hamilton on sax again:
