These songs were recorded straight to an old PC during 2004 and 2005, in the ground floor bedroom of my parents house in rural Staffordshire, England. All live instruments were captured using a single mono camcorder microphone, that had come into my possession when I swapped it for a BB gun in high school. These songs have been languishing on my old hard drive for 18 months or so.....forgotten....just waiting for the PC to crash one last time and then be lost forever. Big thanks to BTH for encouraging me to save these tracks from disappearing forever and inspiring me to let people hear them. These songs were never recorded with the intention of ever being released or heard by anyone else other than myself and my closest friends. They are more just ideas and sketches, recorded simply for the fun of it. Hope you enjoy them.

I plan to work on some more focused material under this name during autumn & winter of 2006.+++December 2006 UPDATE+++Hello you, well november and december have been very productive months for The Toy Library. As promised, I have been working on some more focused material inspired by listening to Mountains, Logreybeam, Helios, July Skies, Eno and Fennesz. I have posted some snippets on here for people to listen to. I would be grateful and any comments and thoughts on this new material.Iam not sure at this stage what the first Toy Library release will be but thank you all for your comments and requests for copies. There will be something appearing on Wayside and Woodland Recordings in early 2007. Lots more news on it all soon.
