Rhett Camfield, also-known-as The Rhett Factor & Dj Rh Factor, is the youngest Dj/Producer/Designer amongst his crew (DRUMZ CLOTHING/UNIVERSAL SCIENTIST/PROJECT LIVE.)
At age 22, Rhett Camfield a.k.a. RH FACTOR (THE RHETT FACTOR) is already a young artist who has been involved with the underground music scene since he was 15 and has been fine tuning the Drum n Bass sound which he deemed to be the ultimate sound, "it's not to fast and nor is it too slow, its a perfect tempo to dance to". Seeing live performances of Underworld, Orbital, Crystal Method, Ed Rush and Optical, Chemical Brothers and more early on motivated him to begin his foray into the electronic music scene where he developed his own unique music style. An innovative DJ with a street reputation for mixing Drum N Bass tunes into a Universal mixes boosting him into the forefront of that genre in the West Coast. Teamed up with DJ MOTIV8, who is one of the original members of the successful multi-Grammy award winning quartet, The BLACK EYED PEAS, provides a fundamental component of that unique brand that has distinguished itself as a major phenomenon in Hip Hop history with over 21 million albums sold globally, MOTIV8's innate creative makeup compelled him to expand into uncharted frontiers that would serve as a breeding ground for new music. When RH FACTOR met MOTIV8 years ago, he saw a visionary teacher, programmer, and mentor who loved integrating artistic ideas with state-of-the-art- ingenuity. On the other side of the spectrum, MOTIV8 saw a young cutting edge DnB artist who was light years ahead of his peers and had the appetite to explore beyond the outer realms of convention. Their chemistry together inspired fresh new ideas and perspectives; fostering a powerful alliance that would give birth to an artistic collaborative called The UNIVERSAL SCIENTIST. Whenever time allows (from touring / projects), Uni. Sci. hits the studio to experiment, construct and re-define a new fusion of musical style and sound. The concept behind The UNIVERSAL SCIENTIST was MOTIV8's idea to form a new group around a concept that is comprised of a mix of many different and diverse elements along with taping into other unique genres. The Uni. Sci. sound is comprised of MOTIV8's signature "Electro-Organic sound", fused with RH FACTOR's "Universal-Sound". A hybrid of modern day electronic music, and Hip Hop, the sound is sometimes integrated with jazz fusion and / or other underground elements that will impacts the groups sound. This sound is so unique and earthly words cannot be used to describe it as it's new and must be heard to be able to actually feel and understand. The UNIVERSAL SCIENTIST full length album will be ready for release in late 2008 around the release of Black Eyed Peas next album. The CD that will include various collaborations with today's A-list artists is a keen stepping stone in bridging the gap between main-stream and under-ground. A revolutionary by nature, producer/designer/artist RH Factor lives in a fast pace but ultra-creative world that spans from having DJ residencies at various LAS VEGAS clubs, to engaging in a multitude of sideline projects including work on his solo debut album under his other alias name of THE RHETT FACTOR. *RHF is a project designated to link all the artists within his circle to be exposed as Universal Artist. Thus far the Universal Artist roster includes Divine Styler, Motiv8, MestizoSix9, DJ Crime, DJ P, Goldie, Infiltrata, Spectr, Curious, Phoenix Orion, and Kendrick Harmon of STOMP OUT LOUD just to name a few. Meanwhile Mashup/remix projects completed and/or in the works include projects with: Fergie, Rhianna, Black Eyed Peas, U2, Divine Styler, as well as E-swift from Alkoholics. By all standards, RH FACTOR is a bona-fide electronic maestro on a quest to breakthrough barriers in music and with The UNIVERSAL SCIENTIST, they will impact and comprehensively re-shape the sounds of the main-stream.
