From one of the North West of Englands dullest towns, Man With The Axe Man prove that Warrington isn't all Rugby and Soap. The four young lads that make up the band got together in the summer of 2006. For a band that got together in the summer of 2006 they have already proved themselves in Warrignton, that it isn't all about how long you have been together, its how talented you are as a band. All four members had previous bands that were mildly succesful 'high school bands', and now that education is in the past, the spare time that is available goes straight into coming up with a new song to show the rest. Man With The Axe Man have now found that the four of them share similar music tastes, which means arguments and disagreements over their musical output, will not be on the agenda.
The first song that they learnt was 'Dont look back into the sun' by the Libertines. Since then they were told that it was their best cover. Therefore the lads believed hmm... Libertines ey? So they got a couple more Libertines covers down. Soon it came to their attention that they were sounding far too much like those 'naughty southerners', since that day their own material has bene their main concern. Sticking to their 'scruffy indie genre' as their main focus, in the style of their influences Man With The Axe Man are now concentrating on their own material.
We are a Warrington gigging band, therefore any possible gigs wouldn't go amiss. All though we are Warrington based any gigs outside of our lovely town would be very helpfull for branching ourselves out into the 'real world'.
Make sure to listen to the music tracks available. We are constantly recording so i shouldnt think it be long before another song is available for your precious ears. We will also have our gigs listed so if you are interested come along.
Please check out the bands below, all good friends of ours and brilliant musicians, dont forget to listen out for them.
