Influences: My Mama inspired my first song when I was 4 yrs old...been singin' ever since. First music I can remember hearing was Hank Williams on the car radio. Many have influenced me............ Elvis to Eric and many many more. I remember thinking I could sing like Elvis, Roy Orbison, Jack Scott and Jimmie Rodgers when I was 7 yrs old...Nobody told me I couldn't, so I kept singin' over the years wherever I went on this long strange trip called life.My namesake, the original king of the delta blues became an influence rather late in my music life, but is certainly an influence, as is the one and only original Lonnie Johnson, B.B. King, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, Howlin Wolf, Screamin Jay Hawkins, Sonny Boy 1 and 2, Steve Miller, Peter Green, Bob Dylan, Bob Seeger, Joe Walsh, David Gilmore, Jackson Browne, Willie Nelson, Joe Cocker, Tommy Castro....And many many others.........Quite a broad spectrum eh?
