I am a notaphilist , you can see my collection here , it’s just a bit of my nerdy side but I really like to see people’s reactions when I show them my collection, specially if they remember a certain note from their past, it brings them back a lot of memories and the stories just seem to come out without me asking for them.
I also like to party with my buddies at any local show or whenever a national act comes by. I support local music and if you from this area I encourage you to do so as well, Chicago has so many good bands to see, it’s up to us the fans to make them be noticed, so get yer ass out to a show!!!
I am on myspace to meet new people, it's as simple as that. If I request you as a friend it's because you seem interesting and might have something in common to chat about. For the most part I accept adds from almost anyone, especially bands. I live a very public life and if we ever run into each other don't be a stranger, come up and say hi
.. First and foremost, Ronnie James Dio is in my humble opinion, the absolute greatest Heavy Metal singer EVER!!I have all his CD's and DVD's not to mention countless bootlegs that I've collected over the years. Whether it's with ELF, RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH, or DIO,the man is a powerhouse of a vocalist and he's proven himself to be a true warrior by never bending over to the trends or the times.

Secondly, I'm a bass player, but one of my biggest musical inspirations comes from a guitar player. His name is Ritchie Blackmore. The man was eons ahead of his time, he is one of the most copied musicians on the planet, I too sometimes catch myself throwing a Ritchie pose on stage every now and then. From DEEP PURPLE to RAINBOW, he made some of the best hard rock music ever made and he invented the measuring stick that other guitarists are measured by, but lack in comparison. Not since JIMI HENDRIX have I've heard a guitarist play with such passion and stamina, it's as if he and the guitar had the same blood running through them, absolutely amazing.

And finally, the reason I play bass and music at all is due to the absolute best heavy metal band on the planet....IRON MAIDEN!! When I was 16 years old, all I wanted to do was to be a heavy metal guitar player. I bought a used Washburn guitar, a Crate amp and started to take guitar lessons from a friend. One day he asked me if I had heard of a band called IRON MAIDEN and I said no. He recommended I check'em out. A couple of days later I went cd shopping and I bought "IRON MAIDEN: LIVE AFTER DEATH" and the rest as they say is history. I could not believe this guy was playing bass like that with NO PICK! "How does he do that?" I asked my friend on the next guitar lesson we had, he had a bass on hand and he showed me the notes for the main riff of "THE TROOPER" and I took it from there. Such was the impression that IRON MAIDEN and Steve Harris (maiden's bass player) made on me that I decided to give up my life long dream of becoming a guitar player to pursue my new passion, playing bass!!!

I’m not too much into the “must see†movies, I like dramas and historical stuff. Some of my favorites are Braveheart, Gods and Generals, Gettysburg, Amistad and so on, I like to watch foreign films and stuff, especially if they are in another language, it takes me back to when I was a kid and watching movies in English and not knowing what was going on.
When I’m not watching my concert dvds and bootlegs (which takes up 99% of my time) I like to watch the History channel and CNN. Comedy Central is one of my favorite channels, I also like the Daily Show and Jay Leno.
