About Me

The Dangerous Aces formed in late 2005, with Moz on vocals, Stu (also of the Medicine Bow) on guitar and "vercals", Dino on Bass, and Matt (also of Gizmo) on drums, backing vocals and random nudity.
They played their first gig at Manchester's Tiger Lounge at the famous Fiction Non Fiction night (several bands for free every Tuesday and still going strong), they played a brief set of just 6 songs, which delighted those present and had them demanding more. After playing a similar set for That's Not Skanking they landed a prime slot at Manchester's prominent Voodoo club, this time banging out a whole 10 songs and have been going from strength to strength since.
In the first 12 months they have played with local heros such as Kid Voodoo, Revenge Of The Psychotronic Man, Kamikaze Sperm, and Pendleton, as well as supporting The Blunts at their album launch, and playing with Psychobilly legends Demented Are Go.
Their sound is very much Street Punk based, but with a nod to their Rock'n'Roll roots and even the occasional ska-like upstroke. Comments and reviews have included:
"if punk rock and rock'n'roll had married and brought their children up on a diet of caffeine tablets, lager, and biker movies, The Dangerous Aces might well be the kicking, shouting, sideburned result" - thisislancashire.co.uk
"a high charged rush of punk...enough to blow the fumes from last night's hangover away" - Ged Camera
"you're shit" - DJ Max Oblivion from Tiger Lounge
"you're crap! The worst Band in Manchester!"- Kathy (Rockers)
"best looking band of the night!" - Rock Out With Your Eyes Shut
