Here at Plaza Suites we strive to promote the best new creative talent from the North in one of the North's most celebrated venues, The 1930's, Art Deco Plaza Cinema and Theatre in Stockport. Most recently was Voice of the City, a youth media project which celebrated the creativity of the North with headliner JOHN COOPER CLARKE putting in a spellbinding performance!So where did Plaza Suites Events begin?Plaza Suites Events began last year with the creation of 'Hit The North'. Now a regular event, 'Hit the North' showcases local musical and comedy talent from Greater Manchester in the Plaza Lounge Bar whilst serving a free local delicacy of pie and peas to everyone who wants to come and watch.What's so good about it?Well, Plaza Suites plan to accomadate for any talent to ensure all creativity can flourish and grow! We have recenlty acquired an Apple Mac Suite along with Camcorders and a projector to allow people to come to the Plaza and make their own films which can then be showcases at the Plaza.Plaza Suites is open to any kind of positive creativity so if you're finding it difficult getting your talent seen or heard get in touch and we can organise a night for it! Ace, i think you'll agree!What's the next event?The next event to be produced by Plaza Suites will be 'Voice of the City' on the 12th July. A unique event which will see the marriage of film and live music as bands commision new pieces of music to accompany short silent films which are being produced by young people from Stockport.
