I listen to all types of music.
I love old jazz and blues but also rock and some indie (as painful as itis to admit),I like reggae alot too but more the rootsy stuff than the dance hall.Classical is good . I hate Top 40 and also The Dead/and Phish-if I go to hell, that's what'll be playing.I really like vocals, not Luther but Ella and the latin/brazilian vocals too.Cesaria Evora. I grew up listening to Run DMC, LL Cool J,Whodini, Public Enemy, Biz Markie,Dave Brubeck, Italian Big Bands,The eUrythmics, marvin Gaye, James Brown,Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra,then drifted towards Sonic Youth,The Descendents, Misfits,Gorilla Biscuit, siouxie and the banshees,violent femmes,Souls of Mischief, De La,Under dog, Overcast,Mindwar, Bad Brains, Quicksand, Jasta,and too many other bands to name...I think there is a time and place for just about every song, wether its the Rachels or Bad Religion, or Ladysmith Black mambazou or LULU (you know the movie TO SIR WITH LOVE), I gotta admit I love 60's,70's soul. I'm always looking for new stuff to listen to.
