Piano that cascades like windchimes in the morning, the sonic color of a string orchestra, devastatingly free jazz, all things Motown, mom and me at the baby grand, ocean front beach music, Tim Reynolds on acoustic guitar (beyond words), funky drum n' bass lines, beatboxing from my boy Spencer, a killer saxophone, electric guitar that soars like Joe Satriani's "Always with me, Always with you," pop hooks that penetrate my subconcious, 50s and 60s bubblegum pop, dirty rock n' roll, chanting at the Buddhist center, celebration at a Jewish wedding, water music at a church wedding, Italian arias, Zane Musa, Tony Austin...
Michael Franti & Speahead - Franti's aura is bigger than the sun. I died and came back to life the night I promoted Spearhead's first show at the New Orlean Jazz Festival. They are one of the most magical live bands in the stratosphere.
