Born at HP Lovecrafts historical Victorian house in Providence R.I. in the 70s, Falcotronik was raised by freethinking children of the 60s. He was instilled with a pride for individualism, art and outsider music, (which is still his driving passion). At age 3 he was introduced to the music of Kraftwerk and Frank Zappa, and his life was changed forever. Transplanted to San Francisco at the age of 7, he was raised in a very liberal environment and introduced to all that San Francisco had to offer in the way of art. When he turned 15 he bought a Roland 505 drum machine and a Moog Source Keyboard and formed his first band The Slants in high school, influenced by Devo and Alien Sex Fiend. The band was short lived but started a life long love of making weird sounds and fun beats. His next project was a performance art group inspired by the downtown art scene in New York call RU-486. RU-486 combined dark sound sculptures, film projections and samples from Richmonds busy industrial section. Around the same time Falcotronik started to write for Horror Tech fanzine, which featured stories about the underground music scene that he was a part of, and founded a college radio show called Klaus and Vivian Oppressed Dance Party. Working in radio he began long friendships with fellow musician and record labels all around the world. The Oppressed Dance factory led to him Djing at some of San Francisco most famous Goth/ Industrial clubs: Temple, Teargarden, and A Winters Gone By.
Looking for a new direction he moved to L.A. to work for a newly founded indie label called Cleopatra Records, as the head of publicity. He would work in the music industry for 8 years, working for indie label including: Hypnotic, C.O.P. International, Music Research, Fifth Colvnm, and Caroline Records. Working closely with artist like: cEvin Key (Skinny Puppy), Bill Leeb (Delirium), Gary Numan, Information Society, Juno Reactor, Future Sounds of London, Physic TV, Die Krupps, David J (Love and Rockets), Fear Factor and countless others.
Always wanting more, Falcotronik freelanced his insider voice for magazines like Caffeine, Nexus 6, Film Threat, Industrial Nation, and Thee Eye. After his favorite dance club Kontrol Faktory closed, he started to promote and DJ his own clubs Hack and Star 80, it was here that he truly became a serious DJ.
In the mid 90s Falcotronik was growing more and more disenchanted with the Goth/ Industrial scene in Hollywood, he soon discovered a new sound from Europe: future pop. Inspired by slick techno beats and haunting cyber synths, he began work on a new project Ice-IX. Touring with bands like Spahn Ranch, THC, Deathride 69, Hate Dept., Idiot Stare, Babyland and others from Hollywoods underground. After an interview in Keyboard Magazine, Ice-IX was signed to Fifth Colvmn Records, but the record never saw the light of day. Shortly after signing to FCR, the label went bankrupt sending his project into legal limbo. Burnt from the stress of the FCR bankruptcy and uninspired by what the L.A. music scene had become in the late 90s, Falcotronik decided to take a long break from the music industry. Looking for a quite place, he moved to desert. However, he soon found some new sonic friends to work with, teaming up with DJs 13A and 4Evagreen to started a radio show and a DJ collective called the All Night Audio Assassins. In 2003, Falcotronik moved to Tucson AZ and has been a driving force in the underground scene ever since, "I like to do it all. Produce, make video's, Dj, VJ, you name it I'm down down with it". With a renewed passion for film and music, "We are the future pop artists" said Falcotronik on the state od VJ culture . In the past two year Falcotronik haS played with JOHN B, DARA, SILVER, UBERZONE, DIESELBOY, JOSEF PLANTE, Goldie, Keoki, Simple Jeff, Rabbit in the Moon, Kevens, Bunny, DJ Craze, Black Sun Empire, Tech Itch, Micro, John Bishop, John Kelly, Korn, Kieth Enerson, and taken part in the Ultra Miami and M3 conference. I give great props to all the countless other great DJ's and musians I've shared the stage with, and special shout out to all the promoters, AV techs, sound people and the all the small people that make this scene worth saving. Once again its time to kick out the jams for another generation.
I am also working on my first TV show called UBIK and a crazy "Outsider Drum and Bass" project called Pac-Tronik. Pactronik's first release was picked up by Technorganic Recordings in 2006.
