I have been heavily involved in the music industry since my first recording contract in 1991. Before the signing I was constantly practicing and developing my studio equipment techniques in my bedroom trying out new ways to create the sounds I wanted to hear. This was how the process started from starting as a beginner to the accomplished and experienced industry professional I have become today. This c.v will take you through all the past experience and achievements I have attained. INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE· First recording contract. Signed to RUBY RED Records (CLEVELAND CITY) in 1991. Released two records titled “How many Ravers” and “The Feeling” · In 1992 I was signed to VINLY SOLUTION. The first promo was released titled “Searching For Love”. · 1994 saw me signing to OUCH RECORDS. This was the first record label in my career that allowed me a lot of production input in the studio with the engineer. The result brought success of many releases titled “The Ripper”, “upside ya head”, “Should be dancing” and “Everybody” · FORMATION RECORDS was my next signing in 1996. It’s been a change of music genre that broadened my creativity and produced two releases titled “Dreams of Annihilation” and “Box a Tricks”. · 1997 saw my first project “EARTHWORM RECORDS”. This was to be my first record label ownership. I was I complete control of all releases, money management, contractual agreements, engineering and production. The first act to come out of Earthworm was “The nasty boys” releasing “The wriggler” and “Hot Flexin”. Then came the speed garage anthem “DEF JAM” and “spawny” Finally came the hard house anthem “Out of control”. · In 1998 I was signed to “SERIOUS RECORDS”. The release titled ”Get down” was released and was heading into successful territory. · My next project was born in 1999 called “WOW RECORDS”. Experience from the first project helped to make this more successful and “horizons” was released. It became very popular in the club scene, which built a platform for future releases. · In this same year I signed up to my first publisher “INDEPENDANT MUSIC GROUP” who handled my royalties and copyright issues. · Again in this year I signed a production and distribution deal with “MO'S MUSIC MACHINE”. This was crucial to our success as a small label as it took a lot of cost off “Wow Records” giving me more breathing space to experiment with sounds and styles on future releases. · In 2001 “WOW RECORDS released its most successful production titled “Come together” under my pseuder name “GEMINI”. It was given a lot of radio airplay (radio 1, Galaxy fm) and spread as far as America. · The success of this spring boarded me into remix and collaboration work with various artists. · The same year saw me enter my Dj career and played in many venues over the UK. I feel because of my music background I was able to mix records in a different way to most dj’s. · FLIRT has become a popular events package and started off in 2004 touring REVOLUTION bars in the UK. With the Launch party at SCARLETS in Birmingham on FRIDAY 29th SEPTEMBER, watch this space... At present “WOW RECORDS” has now become a label and events company and has the best of both worlds. I am currently working on TV and film music with my publisher “I.M.G” and together we have an interesting future ahead of us. STUDIO AND ENGINEERING EXPERIENCEA lot of my experience in studios has come from the years I have spent in the industry. It stems from watching in house engineers and asking a lot of questions to trying things myself heading to the level I am at present. These years of learning and experimenting has enabled me to accomplish a lot and I am already tutoring people in the art of production and engineering.CURRENT PROJECTSHaving now teamed up with long time DJ partener, Digital I, we are pushing our Tracks through our Label "DIGITAL INSOMNIA" A multitude of tracks now out on worldwide release. THe finest out of the Nine Records Stable in Chicago.
