About Me

Twelve Eighteen Productions is a one man outfit. Sometimes I collaborate with others but mainly it's just me. This will probably be one of many linked profiles since I have a varied taste in music and tend to make music in a wild collection of styles but with a heavy rhythmic basis. I will mainly post instrumental stuff that I slap together for shits and giggles. Enjoy.
Song Info:
Failed Movie Script and The Killer Arrives are my two newest creations. I hit a burst of creativity and created both within three days or so. As with most of my work I created the basic samples using FL Studio and sequenced them using Acid. The song titles allude to a long standing idea for a movie script that I've been working on for years (hence the "Failed" in the title). I actually had specific images in my head when I was working on those tracks. I'm even thinking of getting some movie equipment and shoot a short film to put the music to.
Making A Scene and Creeping At Night (Formerly Untitled 2) were for a now defunct weirdo hip hop project. The songs were supposed to be about fishing with a total of eight or so songs planned. These two are just rough ideas that I threw together that never went anywhere. They are rough and by no means complete but they represent my minimalist take on music. The first one was thrown together using Acid Pro 5 using home made and found samples and the second was done with FL Studio.
The Expressionlesslessness Face Featuring Dino Sorrio is a collaboration with my boy Delavache of King Of Stupidity ReKads. We normally work on shit together for the sake of a good laugh. This song was done with FL Studio. Delavache commented that the piano sounded like the suspense parts of Halloween movies. That little bit inspired the Michael Myers theme in the lyrics and turned into our friend's favorite cuts! The title is a play on the fact that his mask has no expression.
Chicrap Featuring Chicketronix and MC Pigeon was my first attempt at a Drum N Bass song using FL Studio at three in the morning on new years day 2001. It's very sparse with only the drumbeat and a rolling bassline that doesn't really sound good on myspace but will blow your car stereo speakers! As with most of my songs it was a work in progress until Delavache heard it. I then emailed to him and the next mornig the vocals were on although I'm not exactly sure what was on his mind!
