Every 2 weeks we are featuring 4 new downloads from the Escapade vaults. Some of the tracks featured have been released on major labels and some never got past the demo stage. Loads of the songs were recorded back in the day of old-school technology. All songs used with kind permission,when it is possible or I have time to ask but if it pisses you off ,cause I've put one of your tracks on here for a few weeks,you're a total tit! In 1989 I was living in a flat on Greenwich South St(number 100)and I had a 4 track portastudio with a couple of mics,a keyboard and a reverb unit.I was recording with my band in a few "real" studios up in London at the time,but I preferred the vibe of recording in a chilled out attic/living room enviroment asI found this more condusive to being creative rather than a spaceship,sterile west end vibe,and that was pretty much the angle for Escapade from the off. We've never had the best gear in here,but people like making tracks in here.
