They mix Mexican trumpets with Brit-pop guitars, fat raps with rock hooklines, marching drums with funky grooves, ragtime pianos with Motown sounds, and the Muppet Show with Maya The Bee... starchs musical world is young, bold, and pretty crazy. The 7-piece gang has spent the majority of their teens and early twens playing shows together, be it at openair St. Gallen, or the Jazz Festival Montreux. Their high-energy, creative live shows are reputedly made to party.Lately, starch teamed up with German producer and soundwizard Christian Lohr (Gianna Nannini, Jimmy Cliff), and in spring 2006 they released their musical freak show on CD. Both their album freak city and their live show share a simple and liberating message to their audience: go crazy!
