I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

A born and bred New Yorker with a fierce love for thrilling the unprepared and wowing those who have been warned. My goal is to be a heart-stoppingly excellent performer on every stage and in every country I find myself in. Vive le spectacle!

If ever you want a little Legs in your town for an event, show or good ol' fashioned surprise party, shout me a holler!

I am proud to say that I am one of the co-producers of Sugar Shack Burlesque along with the wonderful RunAround Sue! The first Wednesday of every month, you are guaranteed to find me shaking my thang at Shaken and Stirred - NYC's ONLY burlesque dance party at Niagra, 7th and A!

ps - if you want to be my friend, be sweet and send me a message along with your request, won't you? Friend requests out of left field or by people whose profiles are private are deleted with glamorous efficacy...

My Interests

shaking, baking, grooving, teasing, bending, flexing, swirling, twirling, high-kicking, dipping, not tripping ;)

I'd like to meet:

fellow transatlantic travelers, dancers, twirlers, friends, enthusiasts, muses, bacchanalian deviants, enablers of joy, champions, ambidextrous wonders of the world, those who come in second place, people who suprise and delight, wide-eyed spirits of ecstasy, fire-breathers/eaters, snake charmers, people tattooed within an inch of their lives, and most importantly, those who focus on what they love and follow their hearts, especially if it involves taking ones clothes off!

Music:

old school bump n' grind, dean martin, marvin gaye, nina simone, glenn miller, patsy cline, barry white, earth wind and fire, ella fitzgerald, carla thomas, bobby darin, aretha franklin, biz markie, amy winehouse, justin trousersnake

Movies:

Hairspray (the original John Waters film, mind you), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (again, the original), Waking Life, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Television:

Lost (wonder if Sawyer wouldn't mind a shimmy...), Robot Chicken, Girls Next Door (equal parts fodder for my escapist fantasies and reminders to cultivate my brain), This or That!, The Muppet Show, My So-Called Life

Books:

Tom Robbins, Haruki Murakami, I Wish Someone Were Waiting For Me Somewhere (Anna Gavalda), Buckminster Fuller, astrology books, burlesque books

Heroes:

Those who preach LOVE!

(that's Fancy Nancy for those of you who were wondering)

My best guy La JohnJoseph - here we are trannying it up at Galapagos:
As a good Sagittarius, my main heroes are my teachers - all who came before, those who are here now and all of those on their way. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your strength of expression, artistic integrity, ferocity, and the abundant inspiration you give me. I love you Lili St. Cyr, Bettie Page, Tempest Storm, Dixie Evans, Julie Atlas Muz, World Famous *BOB*, Dirty Martini, Jo Boobs, Little Brooklyn, Immodesty Blaize, Pinchbottom, Kittie Klaw, Fancy Chance, Foxy Tann and my NYC and London girls! Thank you for inspiring me to be the best dancer and performer I can be.I also love Bjork - one of the most fiercely independent and individualistic artist that I am aware of on the world's stage. And Mae West - big time. And crazy geniuses who come up with things like this:

Legs in The Valley Advocate - my first interview!

There are a few misquotes (primarily the one about how Exotic World was turned from a goat farm into a burlesque farm) but all in all it’s pretty representative of my thoughts on neo-burlesque. ...
