In 1999 David Marks was finishing up his second year of a world reunion tour with the Beach Boys...the band he'd quit at the height of their success. David blamed feeling run-down on life on the road but a diagnosis of Hepatitis C revealed something much worse. David was given less than a year to live if drastic steps to change his ways were not taken.First came sobriety and then David was introduced to the Hep C Hope Foundation in Dallas when he was in town for his first show out on his own. David was encouraged to use what attention he could get from the media to come forward and talk about something most people were too embarassed to discuss in public.Artist Against Hepatitis was born from our desire to unite those in the Arts & Entertainment industries.
